Associate Professor, Peter A. Allard School of Law, University of British Columbia

I am a law professor at UBC whose research and teaching focuses on environmental law, public law, emergencies and the interaction between Indigenous jurisdiction and settler laws in these spaces. I have a particular research interest in the legal regulation of environmental emergencies. I have a monograph, The Constitution of the Environmental Emergency (Hart Publishing, 2018) which details the rule-of-law obligations on environmental decision-makers in light of our vulnerability to environmental disaster. I have published in numerous peer-reviewed Canadian law journals such as the Alberta Law Review, the Supreme Court Law Review and the Osgoode Hall Law Journal.
