Associate Professor in Mathematics Education, The University of Queensland

Jodie Miller is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Queensland. Her research area is in the field of mathematics and STEM education. Her work is underpinned by the notion that to engage in mathematics deeply, students must have an understanding of the underlying structures and patterns that define mathematics. The majority of Miller’s work has been conducted with students that are at risk of marginalisation (e.g., Indigenous students, students with English as a second language, and students from low socio-economic backgrounds).
