Joe Alcock

Joe Alcock is a practicing emergency physician and a professor of emergency medicine at the University of New Mexico. In addition to his clinical practice at the busiest level 1 trauma center in New Mexico, Dr. Alcock teaches evolutionary medicine to medical students, graduate students and undergraduates. His current research involves the pathological transformation of the microbiome caused by acute and chronic stress, circadian rhythm disruption and night shift work.
