Joel S. Elson is an assistant professor of Information Technology Innovation at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a member of the executive committee for the National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology, and Education (NCITE) Center, a Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence. He has a master's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Creighton University. His research interests include psychological aspects of human-computer interaction, mixed-initiative teaming, cyber influence and collaboration systems.
