Professor of Latin American Studies, Dalhousie University

I am the author/co-editor of 17 books on Cuba. The most recent are "Cuba at the Crossroads" (Rowman and Littlefield, 2020), "Cuban Foreign Policy: Transformation under Raul Castro" (Rowman and Littlefield, 2018), and "Healthcare without Borders: Understanding Cuban Medical Internationalism" (University Press of Florida, 2015). I am the editor of a book series with Lexington Press in the United States. I have published some 40 articles on Cuba in academic journals in the United States, the UK, Mexico, El Salvador and Cuba. I have been Professor of Latin American Studies at Dalhousie University in Canada since 1978.
