John Pye

I'm a mechanical engineer working in renewable energy research. Specialising in thermal systems, I've worked on modelling, design and testing of large-scale solar-thermal systems and components, thermal energy storage systems, processes for the production of liquid fuels from biomass, and most recently, technologies that can decarbonise industrial processes, especially green steel. Following my PhD at UNSW (Sydney), I have worked at the Australian National University.
