Professor of Practice in Finance, Warwick Business School, University of Warwick

Jon Rushman is Professor of Practice in the Finance Group of Warwick Business School. His teaching at Warwick concentrates on the design and development of production-strength software to support investment decision making. This encompasses architecture, database design, acquisition of market data, and detailed implementation issues.

Previously, Jon was a managing director at BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors. There he led the development of an equity index portfolio management system and later led the technology group for multi-asset businesses, including a large global macro hedge fund. Prior to his work in the investment industry, Jon honed his software development skills with applications as diverse as pub management and shoe design.

He holds an MA in pure and applied mathematics from Cambridge University, an MBA from the Open University and is a CFA charterholder.
