Postdoctoral research associate, University of York

Jonathan is a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Geography at the University of Cambridge. His research centres around understanding the distribution of conservation costs and benefits. By doing so, he hopes to gain insight into the challenges facing conservationists and to propose equitable and economically plausible strategies that can help avert future losses of habitat and species.

In his current role, Jonathan works closely with colleagues in the Natural Capital Leaders Platform at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. This group has long-standing relationships with influential business leaders and Jonathan seeks to engage businesses to help them understand and address their impacts and dependence upon natural capital.
