Professor of Political Science, Carleton University

I am a professor of Political Science at Carleton University, where I hold the Honourable Dick and Ruth Bell Chair in Canadian Parliamentary Democracy.

My teaching and research interests focus on Canadian and Ontario politics. I also have an ongoing interest in the politics of evangelical Christians in Canada.

My most recent book, co-authored with Loleen Berdahl, is Work Your Career: Get What You Want From Your Social Sciences and Humanities PhD (University of Toronto Press, 2018).

Much of my research has been generously funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada through their Insight grant program.
