Full professor of International relations at the Faculty of Sociology and Political Science, Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. Fellow at the Complutense Institute of International Studies (ICEI). Professor at the Diplomatic School of Spain. Researcher and consultant with the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID), the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the UNDP, the EU-LAC Foundation, and the International Federation of Red Cross Societies. Robert Schuman Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Fiesole, Florence. In two different terms appointed as a member of the Development Cooperation Council (a consultative body to the Secretary of State for International Cooperation of the Spanish government). Member of the board of Oxfam Intermón, spanish affiliate of Oxfam International. Member of the Scientific Council of the Latin American research network Coordinadora Regional de Investigaciones Económicas y Sociales (CRIES). I've been awarded by Spain´s national evaluation agency with a positive evaluation in three research six-years terms (sexenios).
