After completing my medical studies at the University of Yaounde I (Cameroon) and practising for a few years as a physician, I enrolled for a PhD at the Global Health Institute of the University of Antwerp which I completed in 2020. My research interests include public health, epidemiology, epilepsy, and neglected tropical diseases particularly onchocerciasis (river blindness). Currently, I am a research officer with the Brain Research Africa Initiative (BRAIN) Cameroon and I was awarded a Future Africa Research Leaders Fellowship (FAR-LeaF) by the University of Pretoria in 2022.
