Josh Clothier is a PhD researcher in the School of Languages & Linguistics at the University of Melbourne, and a Research Affiliate with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language.

His primary research interests are in the sociophonetic variability of Australian Englishes, particularly those spoken by minoritised socio-cultural groups. He's further interested in similar kinds of variability in other less documented varieties of English around the world.
