Juan Alberto Gran Castro

My academic and professional career, based on interdisciplinary training and applied research, could contribute in various aspects to the teaching and scientific development of the Centro Universitario de Ciencias Biológicas y Agropecuarias (CUCBA). My distinction as a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) level 1 and my lines of research in climate change, social vulnerability and environmental health, reflect my commitment to the generation of relevant and applicable knowledge to the demands of Frontier Science and the National Strategic Programs of the National Council for Humanities, Science and Technology (CONAHCYT), as well as in the priority issues of the scientific agenda of the University of Guadalajara. In terms of teaching, I also have skills for curriculum design and teaching of various subjects taught in the undergraduate degree in biology and in the Master in Environmental Health Sciences, as well as other postgraduate programs at CUCBA. In particular, I have the profile to link pedagogical processes with urgent environmental and social problems, thus contributing to the formation of trained professionals for the generation of alternatives.
