Research Fellow in Ecology, University of Debrecen

Judit Sonkoly is an ecologist working on various subjects related to vegetation science and plant ecology, from seed dispersal, seed banks and germination to plant invasions and the maintenance of biodiversity and ecosystem functions. Her current work is mostly focusing on dispersal processes.

She has been a research fellow at the Department of Ecology, University of Debrecen and the MTA-DE Lendület Functional and Restoration Ecology Research Group since 2020, and an assistant research fellow at the Department of Ecology, University of Debrecen since 2016.

She completed her PhD at the University of Debrecen in 2017. Her PhD also focused on plant reproductive processes from an ecological point of view.
