My research areas, focus on forensic techniques related to DNA collection, extraction and analysis. I have extensive experience with canine olfaction for the early and rapid detection of diseases and invasive species. In addition my research has utilized "omics" based approaches to understand disease progression through detectable metabolic changes and odor composition. Lastly, I have experience in bioinformatics techniques for data analysis. My current research involves a collaborative effort for the training and deployment of COVID-19 canines for disease detection on surfaces and people in exhaled breath.
