Julian Stirling

I am an experimental physicist specialising in instrumentation. My work has varied from blue-skies measurements of the Universal Constant of Gravitation, inter-atomic and inter-molecular forces, to precision calibration of mass, force, and laser power.

My current work focuses making scientific equipment more accessible and affordable in Sub-Saharan Africa. We do this by designing equipment in collaboration with local engineers and scientists to ensure that it can be built, calibrated, and maintained locally.
