Professor Julie Cotter is the Director of the Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development, a research centre of the University of Southern Queensland. Julie leads a multidisciplinary group of researchers who work closely with businesses and government to understand their challenges and opportunities and to develop solutions. Professor Cotter’s areas of expertise include finance, governance and agribusiness. Professor Cotter is also an experienced company director including Non-Executive Director roles for member based organisations as well as large, complex organisations. She was a finalist in the category ‘Outstanding contributions to policy development’ in the 100 Women in Australian Agribusiness 2014 list. Julie is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of CPA Australia.
