Jussi Hovikoski

I am a sedimentologist and my research mainly deals with Mesozoic-Cenozoic Arctic geology. I’m particularly interested in ancient greenhouse periods, extreme transient warming events and oceanic anoxic events. The ancient analogues from the geological record provide us with the best means to evaluate how our planet, its oceans and biota, will respond to the ongoing anthropogenic warming.
