K.S.M. Tozammel Hossain

My name is Tozammel Hossain. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech. I am also affiliated with Discovery Analytics Center at Virginia Tech. I am working as a research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Naren Ramakrishnan.

My primary research interests broadly lie in applications of machine learning and data mining techniques in bioinformatics and computational biology, social media, and social sciences. Few notable projects that I worked on are Protein Constraints Modeling, Hidden Topic Ailment State Model, Social Network Sensors, Supreme Court Ideal Points Miner, and Temporal Signatures in Rank-Order Space.
