Senior Lecturer in public health, University of Canterbury

I am a public health physician and I research participation, social inclusion and mental health in communities, as well as community health systems and equity. I used quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods although qualitative research is my favourite methodology (so complex and nuanced). I work in public health in New Zealand and as founder/ senior advisor for Burans (www.burans.org), a team working with disadvantaged communities in Uttarakhand, North India, to promote mental health and wellbeing by building on their strengths and resources.
