Karen Marker

As a grant proposal strategist and writer for Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, I benefit from 15 years of corporate experience to provide support to its College of Engineering at the largest public institution of higher education in the state.

I work with faculty across seven far-flung departments, from mechanical and biomedical engineering, to computer science, to organizational performance and workplace learning (a social science), so have a robust knowledge of individual faculty members, their goals, ideals, and roles as educators and researchers.

I have a particular interest in "triple bottom line" thinking to promote systems education, product and process design to minimize resource use, environmental stewardship, complex, interdisciplinary problems, the intersection of technology and business, and the significant role of business in facilitating social change. I have a master’s degree in Instructional Systems from Indiana University and a BA from Brown University in both art and English.
