Katherine Palacio

Dr. Palacio is an Assistant Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department at Universidad del Norte, located in Barranquilla, Colombia were she teaches Data Analysis and Knowledge Management at the undergrad and graduate levels respectively. She is an industrial engineer and holds a masters degree from Universidad del Norte and a Ph.D in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. Her work focuses on applying knowledge management systems, initiatives and tools to improve performance in different settings especially in the health care sector. She has a strong background on multivariate data analysis based on her experience in different research and academic projects. Her prior experience included administrative and academic activities as the chair of the IIE Department with a population of more than 1200 students leading the academic and research activities of undergrad and graduate programs.
