Kathleen Maltzahn

I have a Post-graduate Diploma in Women's Studies.

My most recent academic position was as Research Officer at La Trobe University, primarily researching gambling. Recently research has been in partnership with Victorian Aboriginal community organisations.

I have worked for many years in the community sector, with a particular focus on violence against women. I am the author of the first book on trafficking for prostitution in Australia, 'Trafficked' (University of New South Wales Press, 2008).

I have written for The Age, The Australian, The Courier Mail, The Herald Sun, Huffington Post, The Guardian and other news outlets.
