Dr Kathryn Curran is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Activity, Exercise and Health at Leeds Beckett University. Kathryn’s research focuses on investigating the effectiveness of community physical activity and health interventions primarily with hard-to-reach/socially disadvantaged groups (focusing specifically on homeless men, men recovering from substance misuse and overweight/obese men in deprived communities). Kathryn’s work and research using the power of an English Premier League football club as a vehicle for physical activity and health engagement with socially disadvantaged men has been championed by the World Health Organization as an example of best practice.
