Kathryn K. O’Neill

Policy Analyst at the Williams Institute, University of California, Los Angeles

Kathryn O’Neill, M.P.P., is the Peter J. Cooper Policy Fellow and a Policy Analyst at the Williams Institute. Her research interests include social policy, poverty, and equity. Previous projects include a county-wide needs assessment in partnership with a nonprofit in Riverside County and microsimulation models of basic income policies in Europe. O’Neill has also worked in student affairs in higher education as an English instructor, an academic advisor, and as a researcher to assess the effectiveness of programs intended to increase equity among students. She received a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside with an emphasis on poverty and inequality. She holds a B.S. in Community and Regional Development with a minor in Linguistics from the University of California, Davis.
