Senior Lecturer, Macquarie University

Kathryn Mills is an academic and clinical scientist who holds an academic position as a senior lecturer at Macquarie University, Department of Health Sciences and works clinically as a sports physiotherapist at Kensington Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. She is passionate about maintaining and improving knee health across the lifespan and helping people to keep exercising - particularly people with a background in sports participation. She is the current chair of the International Footwear Biomechanics Group and is a member of conference scientific and organising committees including Sports Medicine Australia and the International Society of Biomechanics. She is a lead researcher in several large implementation and clinical trials focused on improving access to exercise-based therapies and monitoring sporting injuries.
