Katitza Marinkovic Chavez

Research fellow, The University of Melbourne

Dr Katitza Marinkovic Chavez is a Psychologist and Research Fellow at the School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne. She applies participatory approaches to collaborate with children and youth in contexts of climate change, disasters, and domestic violence. Kati co-led Your Climate Superpowers, a project funded by Melbourne Climate Futures where young people and researchers co-designed a resource on how to deal with climate change and engage in climate action. She also participated in the developed of the Chilean model for mental healthcare in disasters and emergencies and is a Steering Committee member of the International Collaboration for Participatory Health Research (ICPHR).
