Kayleigh Chester

Kayleigh graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2012 with a first class BSc (Hons) in Psychology. She joined the Centre for Research in Primary and Community Care as a Research Assistant, predominantly working on the English Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study. HBSC is an international survey-based stiudy conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organization. The HBSC study gains insight into young people's wellbeing, health behaviours and their social context; covering a vast variety of topics including bullying, obesity, body image, physical activity, health behaviours and substance use. The study is repeated every four years allowing for trends to be examined.

Kayleigh is also completing her PhD: "Exploring the health consequences of adolescent relational bullying and mapping protective health assets." Her doctoral research aims to identify factors from the lives of young people which may help young people positively navigate relational bullying.
