Member of the Ronin Institute and Institute for Globally Distributed Open Research and Education (IGDORE), Lancaster University

I did my undergraduate degree (B.A. Literae Humaniores et Linguae Romanicae) at the University of Oxford (Balliol College) in Classics and Modern Languages (Spanish and Romance languages) and subsequently did a Taught Master's degree (M.A.) in Languages and Linguistics at the University of Manchester. I then trained and worked as a professional simultaneous face-to-face interpreter and language teacher in the north of England before completing a Research degree (M.Res) in Linguistics at the University of York. I am now conducting doctoral research in Linguistics at the University of York and Chinese University of Hong Kong and am affiliated with Lancaster University where I am specialising in Corpus Linguistics. In addition to my career as a linguist, I am a freelance journalist and I have contributed op-ed articles to Asia Times Online (www.asiatimes.com/author/keith-tse) and The People’s News UK. I also work as a data scientist and I regularly take on statistical projects for companies throughout the world.
