Kelly Bowden Davies

Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science, Newcastle University

I am a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan Universit researching physical inactivity and metabolic health / T2D.

Previously I was a Teaching Fellow at Newcastle University, and I received my Sport and Exercise Science BSc and MSc graduate from Liverpool John Moores University.

I conducted my PhD at the University of Liverpool on a Diabetes UK funded project. The primary focus of my research to date has been to examine the effects of physical (in)activity and sedentary behaviour on integrative physiology and metabolism, and studying cross-talk between adipose tissue, skeletal muscle and the liver.
