Kennetta Hammond Perry

Director of the Stephen Lawrence Research Centre, Reader in History, De Montfort University

Kennetta Hammond Perry serves as Director of the Stephen Lawrence Research Centre and is Reader in History at De Montfort University. She received her PhD in Comparative Black History from Michigan State University and has published a book on Afro-Caribbean migration and race politics in Britain titled London Is The Place For Me: Black Britons, Citizenship and the Politics of Race. Currently she is working on a project examining state-sanctioned racial violence in Britain during the twentieth century.
