Professor of Growth, technological change, and inequality, Lund University

My research focuses on long-run regional growth and labor markets. I am specifically interested in the long-run impact of historical infrastructure investments such as railroads, electricity networks and town foundations. I have analyzed strikes on the Swedish labor market with a focus on the early 20th century and the emergence of the Swedish Model. My work also deals with regional inequalities in the long run and I have constructed regional GDP per capita data that go back to the 16th century.
