I am a casual tutor and lecturer at the Department of English and Theatre Studies at the University of Melbourne. I completed my PhD in English at The University of Melbourne in 2018. My thesis, entitled “Peter Carey: Economy, Archive, Celebrity” accounts for a method of reading Carey's oeuvre in relation to the promises and perils of the Australian and global publishing industry since the early 1970s. I am interested in the contemporary Australian novel, refugee literature, as well as the intersections of politics of the literary prizes, cultural festivals and humanitarian awards.
