Lecturer Sociology and Policy, Aston University

I conduct research on children and families focusing on questions relating to how children and parents spend time. My recent work looks at trends in children's time use in the UK over a period of four decades from 1975, with a particular interest in how technology has influenced daily life for children and parents. I have previously held research positions at the University of New South Wales in Sydney (Social Policy Research Centre), the Australian Institute of Family Studies in Melbourne, and the University of Oxford (Centre for Time Use Research, Department of Sociology). I am currently a Lecturer in Sociology and Policy at Aston University, Birmingham.
