Kim Adams

My research focuses on race, gender, sexuality, and medicine in American culture. My book project, "The Body Electric," studies the relationship between electricity and the human body in U.S. literature from the Civil War to the Civil Rights Era. I teach courses in medical humanities, such as "Theories of Reproduction" and "Health Care Ethics," as well as standard courses in literary studies.
