Kirsten Crandall is a Joint PhD candidate at McGill University and the University of Ottawa. Her research focuses on the influence of abiotic and biotic factors on the pathogens, vectors, and vertebrate hosts of the tick-borne disease system in Canada. She integrates a wide variety of methods, such as specimen-based museum work, meta-analyses, field surveys, transplant experiments, and modelling, to disentangle this complex system.
