Lecturer in Environmental Geography, Cardiff University

My research interests focus on sustainability, in particular sustainability transitions, green entrepreneurship and business, sustainable building, and alternative food systems. I am also interested in policy networks and governance for sustainability, and how more environmentally positive ways of living can be encouraged.

I undertook my PhD research at the University of Hull. My PhD was a CASE studentship between the University of Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council – Effective Policy Interventions in Establishing Sustainable Local Food Systems in East Yorkshire and the Abruzzo region in Italy.

I undertook my undergraduate studies in Geography at Newcastle University, following which I worked for eight years in rural community development and economic development for Rural Community Councils in Cumbria and Yorkshire, and County Councils in Durham and North Yorkshire.
