Principal research scientist, CSIRO

Klaus is leading the Modelling Water Ecosystems team in CSIRO Land and Water. His research focus is on hydrodynamics and water quality of lakes and rivers. Areas of research are monitoring and modelling of water quality using remote sensing technology, forecasting blue-green algal blooms, risk assessment of low dissolved oxygen - blackwater - events in river systems, simulating thermal conditions in river systems, and in general utilizing modelling tools to better manage water dependent ecosystems.
