Kristen Schultz Lee

Associate Professor of Sociology, University at Buffalo

Kristen Schultz Lee is an associate professor in the UB Department of Sociology. Her research interests focus on gender and the life course in a comparative framework. Prof. Lee is interested in investigating how social context (for example, gender norms and social policies) influences family behaviors and the happiness of different groups (defined by social class and marital status). In other research, she is investigating education and inequality among children and adolescents. Prof. Lee’s research has been supported by the Japan Foundation, the Spencer Foundation and the Fulbright Foundation
