I have a PhD in the alignment between IT and HR strategies. This foundation research has enabled me to build research projects in Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Human Resource Information Systems and Recruitment and Social Media. I am interested in looking at the intersection where technology and the management of people meet. This are creates a whole realm of unique challenges for management as new practices emerge in organisations.
This work has further lead me to another strand of my research which focusses on mobile technology and the way in which that has redfined our understanding of work time and space. My recent publications have explored the relationship between increased connectivity and organisational engagement, the new role of the CIO in an increasingly mobile workplace, and the redefining of the workplace itself as work and non-work activities are seamlessly intertwined.
I co-founded a Sydney-based research group on Digital Disruption and manage the Australian corporate sponsors program for the Center of Information Systems Research at MIT.
