Professor Galloway's teaching focuses on the economic impacts of entrepreneurship, knowledge and issues associated with leadership, entrepreneurship and enterprise in a variety of economic contexts, and the practice of business creation and development. She has authored several chapters and sections in the textbook Entrepreneurship and Small Firms by Deakins and Freel, the most popular textbook for entrepreneurship studies for university-level students.

Professor Galloway has also supervised PhD candidates working on Entrepreneurship Education, Project Management, Intrapreneurship and Employment and Economic Equality. Topics of interest include those that concern the SME sector, business creation and growth, entrepreneurship amongst marginalised or peripheral groups, international entrepreneurship, and enterprise skills and education.
