Laura Higson-Bliss

Lecturer in Law, Keele University

I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2013 with a degree in Law (LL.B Hons) and completed an LL.M by Research in 2016. In 2020, I completed a Ph.D examining the criminal law framework in England and Wales and its application to online abuse. I have extensive expertise in educating young people on the criminal consequences of irresponsible social media usage.

In March 2021, I joined Keele University as a Lecturer in Law. Prior to this, I was a Teaching Fellow in Law at the University of Birmingham (2019-2021) and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Edge Hill University (2016-2019). I have significant teaching experience in Human Rights and Criminal Justice, Legal Communications and Writing, Public Law, Criminal Evidence, Tort Law, Media Law and the English Legal System.

I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
