Laura Jayne Wright

Stipendiary Lecturer in English, University of Oxford

Dr Laura Jayne Wright is a Stipendiary Lecturer in English Literature at University College, Oxford. She previously taught at Brasenose. While completing her DPhil in early modern drama she worked as an associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes and a Stipendiary Lecturer at St Hilda’s. Her research concentrates on sound effects in early modern drama; hearing and the body; sensory studies; theatre history and performance; Shakespeare; Jonson; and the voice. She is currently working on her first book on the sounds of Shakespeare's stage.
