Lauren van der Rede

Dr Lauren van der Rede is a a full-time lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Stellenbosch. She completed her PhD as an Early Career Doctoral Fellow on the DSI-NRF Flagship for Critical Thought in African Humanities at the University of the Western Cape's Centre for Humanities Research, before becoming a Next Generation Scholar. Her doctoral dissertation “The Post-Genocidal Condition: Ghosts of Genocide, Genocidal Violence and Representation” was located at the intersection of genocide studies, psychoanalysis, trauma studies, and literature.
