Leanne Savigar-Shaw

Leanne is a Senior Lecturer in Policing at Staffordshire University.
She has worked on research projects exploring police-public interaction and fairness in policing as well as more focused projects exploring road safety issues such as driver distraction, mobile phone use while driving, speeding and road victims.

PhD thesis entitled: Preventing mobile phone use while driving: appreciating the equivocal nature of identity, safety and legality in an uncertain world
Research interests: road safety, road safety education, driver distraction, community speed watch, road victims, police-public interaction, procedural justice, fairness in policing.
