Dr Leanne K Simpson

Global Director Training and Technical Documentation | Smiths Detection, Bangor University

As a charted psychologist and Global Director of Training and Technical Documentation Leanne has worked with the Defence and Security community for over 10 years. Leanne's work has provided her with the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of technical experts, producing evidenced based training and cultural change programmes that incorporate in-depth research, to engineer sustainable behavioural change.

Prior to joining the Defence and Security industry, Leanne completed a PhD in cognitive neuroscience at Bangor University. The research was funded by Dstl and examined the relationship between neural activation patterns and the operational capabilities of serving military personnel. This saw her collect data from military personnel both in a lab setting and in an operational environment.

Leanne's work now sees her support clients and their organisations as a trusted advisor: analysing and solving issues, creating pragmatic and exciting solutions; whilst measuring value and assuring organisational growth and resilience. Using her expertise in human behaviour and her extensive proven track record of developing user capability, Leanne seeks to channel rigorous science with the practical needs of an organisation. Leanne's work informs the development of bespoke group wide interventions and processes, to create a behaviourally informed organisation.
