Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Deakin University

Professor Lee Astheimer has been Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) of Deakin University since March 2009, leading a portfolio that includes responsibility for Deakin Research, the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM), the Centre for Intelligent Systems Research and the Alfred Deakin Research Institute.

Professor Astheimer's role at Deakin is to provide academic leadership in respect of the advancement of research and research training and promoting, both nationally and internationally, Deakin University's distinctive contribution to research and research training.
