Assistant Lecturer, School of Law, University of Essex

I am a graduate teaching assistant for Foundations of Public Law and Legal Skills, and I am undertaking research on the influence of emotions on judicial decision-making funded via SeNSS (South East Network for Social Sciences). I am interested in administrative law, judicial discretion and decision-making, substantive review and statutory interpretation, and the judicial branch in common law systems generally.

My recent publications include:

'Bifurcation, unification, and calibration: A comparison of Indian and English approaches to proportionality' (Indian Law Review, 2018): https://www.tandfonline.com/eprint/xAXM9gHPWAR4g5aW7D8N/full

'Common law proportionality in English law: are we there yet?' (post for the Admin Law Blog):
