Associate Director for Engagement & Research Partnerships | Smart Green Cities, Macquarie University

As the Associate Director for Engagement & Research Partnerships at Macquarie University’s Centre for Smart Green Cities, Leigh uses her scientific background and stakeholder engagement skills to develop user-centred research projects that will create smarter, greener and liveable cities.

Over the past 10 years, Leigh has worked extensively between academia, local and state government and industry. She is an expert in developing and leading multidisciplinary research projects that solve real world problems, particularly in the area of green infrastructure, climate change adaptation, biodiversity and smart technology.

Leigh is the Project Manager for the Which Plant Where project, a collaboration between Macquarie University, Western Sydney University, the NSW Energy, Environment and Science and Hort Innovation. This national five year program is aligning science with industry experience to develop an online tool that will identify species that will be resilient to climate change and therefore future proof our urban landscapes.
