Lena Waizenegger

Senior Lecturer in Information Systems, Auckland University of Technology

Lena Waizenegger is a Senior Lecturer in Business Information Systems at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and the founder of the Early Career Academics Network at AUT. Lena received her PhD in Information Systems from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Her main research areas are ubiquitous connectivity, autonomous agents and the impact on the human workforce, AI in healthcare, and digital wellbeing. Lena’s work has been published amongst others in the European Journal of Information Systems, Internet Research, Journal of Travel Research, and Information Systems Frontiers. Her research has been funded, among others, by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and the European Union. Lena’s research was featured in outlets like Forbes, Psychology Today and the BBC.
